A vibrant member of my series of paintings inspired by my photographic study of a ballet studio rehearsal of flamenco dance. Even though the background color is strong enough to influence the title of this piece, the dancer's movement, their bright red skirts, and even the chestnut sheen in the dancer's hair make an even stronger statement.

The original is oil on linen and the canvas measures 8x12, framed in black.
