As I was painting this piece, I was awed by how well each element of this painting came together. The composition, the perspective, the color of the floor boards, the drape of the dancer's skirt, even the splash of color in the skirt's embroidery - all seemed to merge wonderfully to create this delicate work and infuse it with quiet emotion.

The original is oil on linen and the canvas measures 22x28, framed in silver. This is one of my personal favorites.
